A visit to Whisky New home @ Carabelle...

Very cooling and windy day today... Basically, it was raining the whole day... Usually Whisky will be playing with his toy or chewing the milk bone in the living room but today, he went to the bedroom to sleep on his little bed... What a wonderful weather to him too *lol*

Head over to Whisky new home at Carabelle @ West Coast... Stupid GPS can't find west coast way*argh* Spent about 30 minutes finding West Coast Way.... Reached Carabelle and Whisky new home will be a beautiful penthouse with nice enviorment but the room are really small... Still, overall a better home for Whisky~ As usual, Whisky will try to do "marking" around the place *sigh* Joanne bough her poodle + a Maltese as well and... All 3 dogs started to do marking around the place and Damier is getting so busy cleaning up urine *lol* Supposed to head over to ECP to bring Whisky and Marco a for walk and swim but "thanks" to the weather...

Hubby bought me for prata session near NUS. I had Mushroom, cheese and pratakosong while hubby had onion, tomato, egg and pratakosong~ Eeee, I was quite disappointed... Curry was quite ok but not the prata... Failed! I would rate is 4/10~ I still prefer Jalan Kayu and Bukit timah prata :) We left Whisky in the car and used our fastest speed to finish our prata and on and off I will walked over to the car to check WHisky out..What I can said is, my dear whisky is really a brave boy :)

Head home after our prata session, nice weather... Just want to rot at home ^^

Prove Your Worth
There will be good days. And there will be bad days.
There will be times when - you want to turn around, pack it up, and call it quits.

Don’t give up at that time. Don’t Quit.
Its an opportunity to prove your worth.

Quote of the day: You Cannot~

You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot help small men by tearing down big men.

You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.

You cannot help the poor man by destroying the rich.
You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more that your income.

You cannot further brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot establish security on borrowed money.

You cannot build character and courage by taking away man’s initiative and independence.
You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves.

Home alone with Whisky...

Getting lazier and lazier to update my blog :P

Hubby has got appointment today from 10am to 6pm so, just Whisky and me along at home today... Watched Doremon with Whisky on the sofa and starting of a busy day for me today~ Started to cleaned up the Living room and already 要我半條命, 哈哈!Also, did 6 round of laundry today...

1. Own clothing round 1
2. Own Clothing round 2
3. Whisky bed
4. Floor-mat x 6
5. Whisky towel
6. Cushion

Next month electricity is so going up... *lol* Went down to triple 8 to purchase some ingredients for tonight dinner ^^ Wanted to pay via NETS but somehow the bloody UOB card keep having swipe error... *arghhh* Have to walked to UOB machine, which is about 5 minutes walk...

Prepare dinner at about 630pm and we went to CWP to catch "Year One" @ 11.35pm. We head over to CWP at about 930pm to the arcade Timezone as we still have the game credit left. Timezone was like a sauna... The aircon was down... *omg* It's really bad.. Anyway, I tried playing DDR and .... I'm old already :( Can't seem to follow up the step anymore... (T-T)

What is Year One about?

When a couple of lazy hunter-gatherers (Jack Black and Michael Cera) are banished from their primitive village, they set off on an epic journey through the ancient world in Columbia Pictures comedy Year One. Harold Ramis directs.
After eating from the Tree of Knowledge, primitive villager and reputed slacker Zed (Jack Black) begins to question the meaning of life. His new enlightenment puts him at odds with his village and he is forced to flee. Reluctantly joined by his friend Oh (Michael Cera), they go on a search for the answer but end up wandering through situations beyond their wildest dreams. The screenplay is by Harold Ramis & Gene Stupnitsky & Lee Eisenberg ("The Office") from a story by Harold Ramis. The film is produced by Judd Apatow, Harold Ramis, and Clayton Townsend.

The movie was quite funny , I would rate it...mmmm, 6.5/10. Don't have the feeling to watch 2nd time :P I want to watch "THE PROPOSAL" and "UP" again... >.<

Lunch at Traders~

Head over to Traders Hotel with AL, Ian, Kenny & myself as we are meeting the Sales event manager to finalized our Company event for 04 Sept 2009 and viewing of ballroom as well as testing of projector. Lunch was at Ah Hoi Kitchen and it's yummy! We had herbal soup, Steam cod fish, spinach, pork ribs, eggplant, beef kway tiao and 5 treasure which consist of soft shell crab, wu xiang and erm... can't remember :P Had soya bean and that glass of soya-bean is already S$8! Luckily, it's on Tiffany, the event manager ^^ Ah Hoi kitchen, 7/10 and I will definitely won't go back as the price is really tooooo expensive unless I strike 4D...

After our lunch went to level 1, cafebiz for coffee session~ Relaxing day :P It was already 3pm when we left Traders Hotel. Requested AL to drop me at Funan as I have got some errands and thanks to them, waiting for me ^^

Guess what, Hubby was doing delivery @ Funan too! He accompany me and help me with all the "paper bag" on my hand... ^^ AL told me to get a 50" LG plasma TV for our conference room and it's only S$1799.00~ Shall go and grab it tomorrow :)

Hubby woke me up at about 10am and arggggggh, I slept at about 3am and he woke me up this early :( Anyway, wash up and ate our breakfast and browse the net for about 2 hours and it started raining heavily and weather was so damn good that I quickly head over to my bed to continue my beauty sleep and soon after hubby and Whisky joined in as well *lol*

Woke up at 3pm+ and head down for our lunch cum dinner, hubby ordered "zi cha". We ordered sweet and sour pork, hot plate tofu and garlic spinach ^^ Wonderful and yummy meal.. Walked to NTUC after our meal to purchase some grocery and hubby suddenly asked.. "today, hubby make lot-john for you ok"? I was like, HELL YES! lolx.... :P

Rest for about an hour and bought Whisky out for a 30 minutes walk around the neighborhood, nice weather =D

Whisky morning walk~

Woke up at 745am today as there is one last viewing today. Viewing ended at about 9.00am and hubby have to rush out for his appointment and at the same time we went to top up petrol and told hubby he don’t have to drive me home and... I walked Whisky from Esso Marsiling back home, duration.... 35 minutes *lol* Taken some pictures during the walk and here it’s. Quality isn’t that good as Whisky wasn’t that co-operative during the photo taking session, guess it’s too warm and he’s thirsty...

Whisky at the overhead bridge, on our way to a park nearby our home...

We met 2 dogs during the walk, 1 schnauzer and 1 weird looking white dog and the schnauzer was sniffing Whisky and he whine, I wonder why?! The other white dog wanted to scratch Whisky and whine like a “pig” as it’s like snoring sound and of course I didn’t let Whisky near her... Whisky sniff for a bit and walked away, he’s not interested... *lol*

Reached home at about 1030am and hang out the laundry and head for a shower as I will be meeting Angie for lunch at CWP. We went to ICHIBAN for our yummy lunch, it’s soooo good and I’m so full~ Received a SMS form Adam saying “ having lunch ar”? LOL, what a coincidence, he was at ICHIBAN as well :) After our lunch, head to Pet’s Station to purchase some treats and toy for Whisky ^^ Angie insisted paying >.<, Thanks alot girl :)

Here is what she got for Whisky, Total damage S$24++

Milk Bone, Veggie + Milk treats, Mini beef drumstick, Potato * Carrot treats + a toy~

Say cheeeseee,, Whisky posing for the camera ^^

Bought a mango strudel and head home for our Wii Session, kinda pissed as remote 2 is having issued, it keep appearing connection lost with Remote 2.... Argghhhh. End up, played with Whisky and show Angie my ROM album and certification. She will be having her ROM on 09.09.09 and dim sum buffet at yum cha :) Nice chatting uo with her as we have not meet up for quite some time as she was very busy with her work, jiayou girl!

Angie left about 430pm as she will be heading down to NATAS fair with her boyfriend. Ended up, KC made a mistake... The NATAS fair should be next Saturday instead of this Saturday... *hehe* Soon after Angie left, I went Zzzzzz and hugged whisky as my bolster to sleep *lol* Warm and comfy... ^^

Hubby got back at about 530pm and decided to take a walk to Vista point to sell off his HTC phone and the max he can get is S$130.00. We bought Whisky along too and he’s quite afraid as there are too many people in there. Here’s the evidence that he’s afraid... His tail!

When a dog tail is stuck in between his legs, it show they are afraid...

Whisky enjoying his new treats, Veggie with milk bonie~

Hubby told me he wanted to bring me out to somewhere nice to have our dinner and suddenly OLD TOWN came to my mind, I love the food and bread toast there! Wanted to head to downtown east OLD TOWN and to catch THE PROPOSAL after. But, seats are fully taken up and we dropped the idea. Checked out the website, Bukit Timah has got 1 outlet and with WIFI and checked out Eng Wah movie timing listing and YAY... Plenty of seats available... Asked hubby to call Old town to check their operating hours as the website stated it’s form 9am - 12pm... Hubby called and they operate until 12am :) Booked 11.40pm show @ westmall Eng Wah and we head down to OLD TOWN @ Bukit TImah at about 9-ish... Website stated WIFI but when we got there, we asked for the password and this lady reply.... They have WIFI but they do not provide the services... So, why the hell they wanted to put WIFI at their website?

Our yummy food, we ordered Garlic toast and butter with milk toast as well...

Too busy munching and forgot to take pictures :P

It was still early but we decided to head over to westmall to rot first *lol* But thank god! Timezone is still available and hubby purchase S$20 token -_-” and guess what, we only managed to play less then S$8 as they shut down all the games at 11.15pm... *sigh* Luckily the card is valid for 1 year and for use at any timezone :)

What is THE PROPOSAL about?

When high-powered book editor Margaret (SANDRA BULLOCK) faces deportation to her native Canada, the quick-thinking exec declares that she’s actually engaged to her unsuspecting put-upon assistant Andrew (RYAN REYNOLDS), who she’s tormented for years. He agrees to participate in the charade, but with a few conditions of his own.

The unlikely couple heads to Alaska to meet his quirky family (MARY STEENBURGEN, CRAIG T. NELSON, BETTY WHITE) and the always-in-control city girl finds herself in one comedic fish-out-of-water situation after another.

With an impromptu wedding in the works and an immigration official on their tails, Margaret and Andrew reluctantly vow to stick to the plan despite the precarious consequences.

Riotously Funny and it’s hilarious~! I would rate this show 8/10!

The show ended at about 1.45am and it was raining with thunder~ Whisky must be so afraid... >.<>.< Quickly run when the lifts reached level 9 and ta dahhh... Door open, Whisky is eagerly waiting and wagging his tail... Sooooooo sweet..

Hmm, I have come to the decision that Whisky will be with Ms Evelyn and her families :) They will be shifting to their new homes at West Coast penthouse and will probably be going down for a look next Saturday. All viewer are either form Condos or landed property...

Anyway, Whisky will have a more comfy and bigger area to run as his new home will be a penthouse and he will never have to worry there is no people at home as Evelyn has got 2 maids at home... Sms Evelyn that my decision is out and their family can have Whisky and soon after, my hp started to ring and it’s her. She told me the families was anxiously waiting for my call and answer. Evelyn was also very kind, she told me that I can visit Whisky anytime and I can bring him out for a walk if I want to xD

I will definitely miss my dear Whisky boy....

My little Whisky boy... xD

Richard was the first to reached to view Whisky today and the moment I saw him, I know he is definitely out as he is just a poly student and no experience with dog and more importantly he's too soft which Whisky will just ignore and "bully" him... *lol*

We was pretty hungry already at about 8pm as we have not take our dinner and I quickly went down to buy back some food. You must be wondering why not my hubby go down? Cos hubby can communicate better and way way way better with people... I'm a little of anti-social :P
Left the house and I can hear Whisky started to whine whine whine. After I got back hubby told me he tried to distract him with treats but after he ate his treats he went to the door and whine again. *heart melt* hehe... After I'm done with packing the dinner I quickly walked home and while I was about to reach my house doorstep.... "ta dahhhh" Whisky head is out of the gate and very eager trying to get out *lol* My little whisky is soooo sweet, isn't it :)

2nd was Joanne + Evelyn + Evelyn Husband + Evelyn Daughter
Joanne has got a 10 months old poddle and she said her poodle and my whisky their character is totally the same... Active, friendly and playful... ^^ Evelyn was like my old me, afraid of dog... They are pretty nice people xD

3rd was Clifford, he called and asked if I could bring my Whisky to the void deck and i was like "HUH"? I told him to come up instead and he left his wife and 2 westie in the car, I'm quite puzzled and ended up he went down to bring up one of his westie... Both of his westie are adopted and in pretty erm... bad condition. He told me he seldom see such a beautiful westie and in good condition... He also suspect that Whisky is not mine.. *so angry* >(

Another lady was supposed to drop by but she had OT and I told her to come over at 8am tomorrow instead and said it's too early for her as she is staying at east area.... Whisky is not suitable for her... :x

Anyway, took some pictures today ^^ Pictures says everything :)

Look @ his tongue, sooooo long... I love the left picture, he look so innocent... :P

He reached out to me and kissed me! *lol*

Clifford left and asked me not to give Whisky up, I wish too... Really. He told me I will definitely cry and yes I will and tears just roll down.. (T-T)

Currently there are 2 families suitable to adopt Whisky and the allowed me to visit as and when and take whisky out if I want to but somehow my heart is a very heavy and the image/thoughts of Whisky leaving me just makes my tears roll down my face faster...

Mmmm.... Salute to my hubby xD

Grats to baby on his iphone 3GS!

Finally, Hubby got his hand on his Iphone 3GS 32gb! Grats baby xD
Simply love the love how APPLE present their product, simple but nice packaging!

SMS started to flood in again from 930am till 0530pm, I'm a little sick of reply and repeating myself... My post was removed by the webmaster as he said he have received notifications from others complaining about my adoption fee... *lol* Anyway, supposed to be 2 viewing today but last minutes one of them have guest coming over so he decided to drop by tomorrow...

1st viewing went pretty smooth and they wanted Whisky so much but I would like to have more viewing till I decide who is the best choice :) 4 viewing to go tomorrow ~

Isn't it strange?

  • Isn’t it strange how a $100 dollar bill seems like such a large amount when you donate it to the temple, but such a small amount when you go shopping?
  • Isn’t it strange how endless an hour seems when we are serving God, but how short it is when we watch a Football game or Cricket for 60 minutes?
  • Isn’t it strange how 2 hours seem so long when you’re at the temple and how short they seem when you’re watching a good movie?
  • Isn’t it strange that you can’t find things to say when you’re praying, but you have no trouble in thinking what to talk about with a friend?
  • Isn’t it strange how difficult and boring it is to read one chapter of Bhagwad Gita, but how easy it is to read 100 pages of a popular novel?
  • Isn’t it strange how everyone wants front-row-tickets to concerts or games, but they do whatever is possible to sit in the last row in the temple?
  • Isn’t it strange how we need to know about an event for the temple 2-3 weeks before the day so we can include it in our agenda, but we can adjust it for other events at the last minute?
  • Isn’t it strange how difficult it is to learn a fact about God to share it with others, but how easy it is to learn, understand, extend and repeat gossip?
  • Isn’t it strange how we believe everything that Magazines and Newspapers say but we question the words in the holy books like Ramayan?
  • Isn’t it strange how everyone wants a place in heaven, but they don’t want to believe, do, or say anything to get there?
  • Isn’t it strange how we send jokes in e-mails and they are Fowarded right away, but when we are going to send messages about God, we think about twice before we share them with others?

All about Dogs...

    Four Legged Friend
You come to me a blessing I know
    Lent to me from above
To teach me to soft a kind
    And giving of all mankind
How I look in those bright brown eyes
my hearts melts or so sweet and kind
    I treasure you know
    But your job so big
    and mine so small
For I know nothing of forgives
    to some of mankind
and you only in return ask for
a pat or game of flecth , meal and water
I will do this with out a problem
for you touch my heart and soul
    but my four legged friend
    If you teach me the
    unconditional love as you have
I know the world can be a better place
this written by a friend as a Welcome gift to Cigale
my new puppy friend please donot take it unless you ask
A Dog Soul
Every dog must have a soul, somewhere deep inside
Where all his hurts and grievances are buried with his pride.

Where he decides the good and bad, the wrong way from the right,
And where his judgement carefully is hidden from our sight.

A dog must have a secret place, where every thought abides,
A sort of close acquaintance that he trusts in and confides.

And when accused unjustly for himself, He cannot speak,
Rebuked, He finds within his soul, the comfort he must seek.

He'll love, tho'he is unloved, and he'll serve tho'badly used,
And one kind word will wipe away the times when he's abused.

Altho' his heart may break in two, his love will still be whole,
Because God gave to every dog an understanding Soul!

Quote:

I like dogs better [than people]. They give you unconditional love. They either lick your face or bite you, but you always know where they're coming from. With people, you never know which ones will bite. The difference between dogs and men is that you know where dogs sleep at night."

Whisky the Westie...

Went to petschannel to put Whisky up for adoption, the toughest decision that I have made... 好舍不得 ,可是沒辦法。好傷心 也好難鍋。

Shortly after I am done with the posting, my handphone started to ring and plenty of SMS coming in asking about adoption, not forgetting email as well. Adoption fee of S$500.00 and YES! S$500! Which also includes, peeing tray, food, shampoo, heartworm tablets, clothing, leash, collar, toys, shaver, comb, brush, clipper, ear and eyes cleaner...

Some response was like;

1. Oh, I thought it's free...
2. Oh, I'm looking at only about S$150.00
3. Bargain and bargain and bargain
4. Oh, I can only offered S$200.00 if not good luck to your sales
5. S$440.00 please, I promise that I will love the dog and after telling the person price is fixed, he/she replied with i charged too high for a adopted dog!

WTH! What sales, I'm so freaking pissed.... ARGH....
If the person is really serious about Westie they wouldn't mind about the S$500.00.

Hello! It's a west highland terrier... Branded dog *LOL* :P
Adoption fee is not negotiable~ Whisky cost S$2800.00 and after hubby 死賴不走 at Vivo pet shop and finally the guy agreed to give another S$300.00 off but condition will be, have to pay by Cash... I remember it was my birthday in year 2007 and hubby came to pick me up at my old company in Woodlands ...

Hubby: What do I want for my birthday?
Me: Anything, go makan or movie can liao...
Hubby: actually, I been to a few pets shop and check out on doggy...
Me: O-O
Hubby: I have found one in Vivo, and you will love it!
Me: How much?
Hubby: 2.5k
Me: Speechless... but, can we go take a look? ^^

Off we go... Reached Vivo and saw Whisky! He was so cute and happily wagging his tail. I been to few pet shop before and so far none of the dog have such a friendly reaction... I told hubby I need to think about it as it's a huge commitment and very pricey!

1hour have passed, 2 hour....Hubby was telling me what do I have to do if he really buy Whisky for me... and... Suddenly hubby asked me;

Hubby: or you want a LV bag? LV bag is cheaper...
Me: wooo, good idea...
Hubby: -_-"
Me: hahahaah.... I want Whisky!
Hubby: Ok! you sure uh! I will go draw cash now...
Me: I'm sooooo excited....

The most expensive gift that I ever had and I love it! Why hubby decided to buy Whisky for me?
I used to be afraid of dog but not anymore... ^^ Before we get Whisky, I was telling hubby that if I were to have a dog, it must be gentle and not so active as I'm afraid but guess what~ ^^

Hubby paid for the dog while I paid for Whisky cage, shampoo, vitamins, comb/brush, clipper. Total damage is about $2.8k+ Whisky was only 3 months old and he's kinda small and soft... I was pretty scared that he will pee on me while on our way home... Vivo - woodlands...
While on our way home, hubby was asking what to name him and he said try to think of something with wiiiii/weeee and immediately I thought of Whisky and it's set~ =D

The first 2 weeks was terrible + horrible as Whisky was whining for like 22 hours?! Hubby was telling me as it's a new environment for Whisky, it's normal for him to whine... Whisky 1st shower and nail trimming session was by Hubby as I'm afraid I will hurt the dog or somehow break his bone or what so ever... Crazy thoughts... Thanks to hubby, he is the one guiding me what to do and how to do it and now, I can handle it all xD I remember the first thing that Whisky learned is "come" ^^

There are some unique thing about Whisky as well. For example, if I'm crying he will quickly come over and used his paw to tap me twice to thrice and look at me with his head moving up.. it's something like him, asking me why am I crying? He will then sit beside me quietly if not he will grab his soft toy for me... *lol* So sweet, isn't it...

There goes the alarm in the morning and I can hear Whisky rushing to my bed side to greet me and to lick my hand ^^

A dog is human best friends, it's so true...

How I wish, a kind soul can offered help looking after my whisky if I'm ...... again... and to get him back when the time is right *sigh* I wish....

How I wish Hubby nose isn't that sensitive... >.< *sobsob*

I love this quote:

He is my other eyes that can see above the clouds; my other ears that hear above the winds. He is the part of me that can reach out into the sea. He has told me a thousand times over that I am his reason for being; by the way he rests against my leg; by the way he thumps his tail at my smallest smile; by the way he shows his hurt when I leave without taking him. (I think it makes him sick with worry when he is not along to care for me.) When I am wrong, he is delighted to forgive. When I am angry, he clowns to make me smile. When I am happy, he is joy unbounded. When I am a fool, he ignores it. When I succeed, he brags. Without him, I am only another man. With him, I am all-powerful. He is loyalty itself. He has taught me the meaning of devotion. With him, I know a secret comfort and a private peace. He has brought me understanding where before I was ignorant. His head on my knee can heal my human hurts. His presence by my side is protection against my fears of dark and unknown things. He has promised to wait for me... whenever... wherever - in case I need him. And I expect I will - as I always have. He is just my dog." - Gene Hill

LOL @ this quote...

My husband and I are either going to buy a dog or have a child. We can't decide whether to ruin our carpets or ruin our lives." - Rita Rudner

District 9 by Peter Jackson at CWP Cathay...

Dragged myself to work this morning... I'm so tired, as usual :P

Went to CWP after work for our movie session, today's tickets is only S$5+ each, thanks to the smart $ ^^ 7.40pm, Distric 9, M18 as there are some gross scene.... Eeeewww~ Hate queuing to purchase tickets at CWP cathay, it's a disaster~ Why must they mix the food and beverages and ticketing counter together, why can't they have individual counter? I was in the queue for about 20 minutes... Arghhhh... No idea why, I am quite pissed today...

What is the story about?

Set in South Africa, this movie is rumoured to be a "Cloverfield"-type sci-fi about an extraterrestrial race that is forced to live in slum-like conditions on Earth and suddenly finds a friend in a government agent who is exposed to their biotechnology. Alien spacecrafts are seen hovering over many locations, interrupting daily human lives and raising concerns from the residents of the area. This film is also said to be a sort of social commentary, diverging from what you would usually expect from films featuring aliens.

"District 9" is a sentimental sci-fi about how ordinary men (or aliens, for that matter) end up doing extraordinary things when pushed to the edge, exposing the global hypocrisy of having set right and wrong in legal or moral terms. I will rate this movie 7/10~

Next show on our list will be... 嚇到笑 by Jack Neo...

Pasar-Malam @ Admiratly

Rainy day, nice weather to sleep and rot... ^^

We went for our dinner at triple 8 and walked to Admiratly as there's pasar-malam going on~ We wore a unique couple t-shirt, Mine is 好人 and hubby wearing 壞人, lots of people looking at us and some passer-by said out loud "好人壞人" We nodded and smile, always attracts lots of attention when we wear that t-shirt out :P

Pasar-Malam at Admiratly is really boring, less than 15 stalls and off we go~ Reached home and continue my I'm 花样男子/流星花园 show~ Hubby suddenly turned around and tell me he wants to bring me out, lab park? ecp? but all park are already soooo dark and can't see any nice view... *lol* Finally decided to catch a movie at CWP, G I JOE! We booked our tickets online for 11.20pm show ^^ Lots of people still queuing for their tickets and we decided to purchase their combo for 2! It consist of 1 pop-corn, 2 drinks, wedges and fish fingers, that's so sinful right? >.<

Reached home at about 130am and surprisingly I was not sleepy and continue my 花样男子/流星花园 , hubby was already sleeping soundly ... ZzzzzZzzzz
