Rise & Shine!

Can't wait to see our how's our Lucius doing. Appointment with JW today's at 8:45am, we wonder if he is ready to come to this world any time soon or on my EDD (02.01.2011) or after as there's still no sign of labor.

Went into JW 's room and she was telling us the latest Lucius may come will be on the 7 Jan 2011 and we replied, if that's the case we don't mind to wait as long as he is healthy as induced cost $$$, 1 induce pill = S$100.00 and minimum 2 pills will be needed, unless there is miracle. Anyway, scanning time! Baby's heartbeat is normal and he is fully engaged and JW suggest to induce as water level is a little low and for medical reason she suggested to induce either today or tomorrow. She checked my cervix and it's 0.5cm dilated, since it's 0.5cm dilated, we decided to go ahead with JW's suggestion, induced today... I was put on the CGT monitor to check for contraction before we leave the clinic. We was told to return at 1pm to insert the 2nd pill.

Left the clinic at about 10:00am and I can feel the uncomfortable-ness already... As hubby have to submit some paperwork, he dropped me at TampinesOne while he go back to the office to submit the required paperwork. Never thought the contraction will comes so fast... The contraction pain is increasing every now and then. Nevertheless, I slowly make my way to toast-box for my milo & bread session, although it's only a short distance, I feel like an old woman walking already. I have no mood to even shop around, just feel like poo-ing *lol*

Hubby called and he's ready to pick me up. Our initial plan was to go for pork chop and coconut drink session but the pain is unbearable, therefore hubby decided to drive straight to JW's clinic. JW told us, it's a miracle, I'm already 2cm dilated, no need to insert the 2nd pill. JW told us to go go walk around and to admit to the hospital only after 12am. We are done with the check up and preparing to leave and guess what, gush of water flood down my leg and to the floor with blood... My water bags has broke! So instead of checking in to Mount Alvernia after 12am today, JW told me to admit to the hospital now.

JW estimated Lucius will be out at about 10:00pm as I'm dilating pretty fast, if that is meant to be so be it but we try to speak to Lucius asking him to come on the 1st Jan instead of 31st December and from time to time, we will tell him what is the time now, how many more hours to go, sound silly? Heh! But somehow, it works! Reason why we prefer Lucius to come on the 1st Jan is because he will be the "head" instead of the last and we don't have to worry he can't catch up.

Seriously, contraction pain is no joke, from 11:00am till 6:00pm, dilated to 6cm and I decided to opt for epidural as there is another 4hour to go and I'm so tired... I need to sleep! but when contraction hit, it's impossible to sleep at all and it's freaking painful =x *pardon me*

How's the feeling of Epidural ... It's like having a minor electricity shock 3 times and I'm shivering. Side effect include nausea, giddy-ness and instead of me getting it, hubby got it as Hubby witness the whole epidural procedure, he told me he can barely breathe properly, stuffy chest and heart ache... I can see that his face turn pale and I quickly told him to sit down and rest. Epidural works wonders! I can joke, smile, sleep, talk and watch Harry potter *lol* No more black face or DON'T TOUCH ME! or "SHHHHH" *hahahaha*

Waiting and waiting and waiting, it's 10:00pm and no sign of pushing yet. Epidural effect is slowly fading as well I can feel a little contraction pain *___* Nurses came in to check me at about 11:20pm and it seems that Lucius is ready to come, the nurse inform JW and JW reached at about 11:47pm. Time to Pushhhhh~ 2 Nurses + JW + Hubby is assisting me and pushing together with me, 1 of the nurse suggest to on the TV to see if we can get the new year baby and guess what, Lucius is so co-operative, his arrival comes with fire works ^^ Welcome our son, Lucius Lim to this world on 01.01.2011 at 0000 hours. I thank GOD for this precious gift and for answering my prayers.

Hubby gets the chance to cut Lucius umbilical cord, sound fun? I "interviewed" Hubby about this and he told me that it's like cutting a rubber tube. Hmm... JW hand me Lucius on my arm and the feeling of happiness is unexplainable...Tears in my eyes... It's like, finally...

Lucius was crying out loud from the moment he's "out", he cried for a good 10 minutes before he decided to quiet down... JW show me the placenta and eewww, disgusting and huge! Asked hubby to take a snapshot of it *grossed* not ideal to post it here. One of the nurse came in and told me if the reporter can come and interview us tomorrow I agreed reluctantly as I'm not in my best "shape" right now *lol.

Time to go to my ward to rest and when the nurse push me out of the delivery suite, it's so packed outside, many waiting to give birth and delivery suite is all full. I can see Hubby is extremely tired already, he is pushing with me as well when I tried to push Lucius out ^^ JW told me that I will be experiencing cramp and pain after the epidural effect wears off, that doesn't sound good but guess what, no pain and no cramp at all *lucky me* ^^

"Checked In" to St. Luke Room 334 for my rest now but I'm too excited to rest... Busy texting my friends / cousin / colleague about Lucius Arrival, It's already 1am plus and there are still phone calls coming in to congrats us ^^

Monday, as usual, busy clearing the stuff I have on hand as I will be going on leave on 24 December ^^

Delivery from Fedex! Courier guy walked in and the courier asked for "Lynn", a little puzzle tho... A little brown box and I saw it's from France... ta-dahhhhh~ a cute little brown bear from my colleague in France <3

I still have so much work on hand to clear and hopefully I will be able to clear it by this Friday...

Hubby was up at about 8:00am today and he try to wake me up for Swimming session but I refused... *lol* He try his luck again at about 8:30am and I told him no, let me sleep and... again, he try again at 9:00am and I think he give up and told me he will make me breakfast instead!

Wholemeal bread with Sardine and Egg... It's so crispy and it's heaven to me ^^
I whined on Saturday about not having able to eat the sardine thingy and he made it for me on Sunday, thanks beeee ^^

This breakfast is awesome and hubby only made 2 pcs... I have "no choice" but to steal one openly from his share... *hehe*

Parenthood Fair at Expo

Reached Expo for Parenthood fair at about 10:50am and carpark is already fulled, all thanks to SITEX. Luckily, there's alternate car park, just that we have to walked slighty further to the exhibition hall.

We settled down for our breakfast at Subway before our shopping session begins ^^ I can sense the damage to our wallet... Compared to baby fair last month, parenthood fair is way better! I'm glad I still have the energy to walk and all thanks to my dear hubby for the lovely massage <3

Next, to Sembawang, to pick up my order for California baby shower gel and cream and head home after-wards, warm weather and we are so tired... Reached home and straight and head to shower, the weather is totally unbearable for me...

Breast milk is also more easily digestible and hence will not lead to constipation. For the mother, breastfeeding increases your metabolic rate and helps you regain your shape faster. The hormone called oxytocin, released during breastfeeding, causes the womb to contract and return to its original size sooner. Recent evidence also indicates that breastfeeding will lower the risk of breast and ovarian cancer. Breastfeeding also encourages a close bond between the mother and child. Coupled with the fact that it is also economical and convenient (there is no need to sterilize bottles!), there is really no argument that breast milk is the best!

Home - AMK Hub - York Hotel

Woke up at about 11am and went for our breakfast at Blk 211 and hubby drive back to our home -sweet-home to pack some stuff. We have too much of rubbish to sell and we decided to sell it to cash converted but less than an hour later I can't stand it and wave my white flag to hubby that it's time to go back to Mummy's home as it's too dusty for me to continue to stay in there >.<

Warm weather today, I can sense my body temperature is getting higher and higher as I no longer like warm water or warm drink... Gassy drinks makes me feels better and ice-cream! Controlling... Went for a cold shower and left home at about 3:15pm to AMKhub for our lunch before our lesson starts at 4:30pm. AMKhub car-park is always full, annoying...

Interesting lesson today as we have a baby dummy to practice and hubby really did a great job, again... Ms Wong said "Men always learned faster" so during the lesson Ms. Wong will get the husband to practice first before we Mummy have our turn to try and you know what only until yesterday I learned to fold the diaper while hubby already know how to... *oops*

Lessons ended at 7:10pm, next stop? York Hotel for my cousin wedding and the hotel gave us a really bad impression of their ballroom, food plus noob waiter and waitress. Most "memorable" food will be their ee-fu noodles, it look exactly like vomit and after a few seconds later, another cousin of mine commented that to his girl-friend too.

Reached home at about 11:50pm, off to our dream land~ Zzzz

W.E - C&C - Yishun Safra - Home

Sumptuous breakfast prepare this morning for hubby, prata with chicken curry....

Hubby have to attend a short lesson at wikki edge today from 1pm - 3pm and I have decided to tag along, meaning I have to wait for him for two hours. Thought of going over to Plaza Sing but the weather out there stopped me... Nevertheless, I settled down at Hanis and ordered a tuna sandwich + kopi-c while waiting for hubby, having constipation these few days and I need coffee to help me *lol* Instead of waiting for 2 hours, Hubby called and told me he is ready to leave at 2:10pm!

It's still too early to go for our swim now so we hubby drive to C&C to shop for some accessories since he was given some voucher~ Purchase a key chain for his car key and a cup holder for the car~ Limited baby/kids stuff *disappointed* 4:30pm, nice timing to drive over to Mt.Faber Safra for our swimming session and suddenly I remember I left my swimming suit at home and hubby reaction is.... "ok, no problem, we will drive home and pick up your swim suit and we will swim at Yishun Safra instead ^^

We swim for about 40 minutes and it started to rain, quickly get up and walk over to the shower and the queue started but I'm lucky, waited for less than 5 minutes. When I'm done the queue was like 6 - 7 pax *phew* Hubby was waiting outside and told me we had a appointment at 6pm today as there was 6 missed-call from Mummy informing us the salesperson was at her place, I was like "what appointment"? Anyway, not important... It's those cleaning services. Hubby told Mummy to let them clean the place, don't have to wait for us but the lady insist to wait for us...

We reached home at about 6:40pm and the lady started explaining the good-ness of the vacuum. We seen how the vacuum works and I must said that it's really good but not the price tag. No matter how hard the lady try to promote I wasn't move at all as it's really "seriously freaking expensive" To cut it short, to my shock-ness, hubby lim decided to buy the vacuum...

The purchase comes with S$300.00 babybaby voucher, hopefully we can get something useful...

After the lady left, Hubby started to clean the room, mattress, pillow... I enjoyed seeing him doing housework while I "nua" on the bed *hahahaha* After that, he switch on the aroma therapy for me + massage ^^ Time to speak to the baby too, today he spent about 20 minutes talking to the baby.... Always so nice to see him reading and talking to baby...

Lazy Saturday~

MJ session with Hubby and Mummy and lady luck on my side today, win $24.00 in total, we went for our lunch at Marsiling market after the game. Sent Mummy home first and hubby drive me to CWP to shop for swim-suit as my currently one is toooooo tight already.

Hurray, managed to find a comfy swim suit and a dress from Spring and hubby bought me 1 black dress too ^^ Next stop, to civic centre to shop for grocery before we head home... *raining*

Swollen feet and fingers today but glad it's not serious and yippppeeee, massage from hubby makes the discomfort-ness on my feet goooooo away <3

Saw this Tarus baby's 6 in 1 cot from Baby's Kingdom, comes with 4" mattress, 9 pcs bedding set and Toddler's bedrail, comes with free delivery and installation. We decided to drive over to Ikea before we make up our mind...

Next stop to Ikea and we have purchase the following;

1. Changing Station with Cabinets

2. Towel Hood

3. Mattress protector

4. Sleeping Bag

5. Storage Boxes / Bin for Changing Station

6. Babycare Mat + Cover

7. Wash Cloth

We went back to Baby's Kingdom to confirm the baby's cot and hubby drive to Sembawang for our dinner, initially we wanted to have teochew porridge near Sembawang Shopping center but passed by this steamboat place near Chongpang area and it's a nice weather to have steamboat session today so... we went in... The place was very packed, we have to wait for about 20 minutes before we have a place to sit. Their soup is very tasty! Food variety wise, so-so.

Look at Hubby shag face after a long day of walking... Mine was worse...

Hungry already, didn't really have the mood to take picture of the food.... While eating hubby suggest to go for a movie session at Yishun GV and my reaction... "you gota be kidding" I'm half dead already... Since hubby have been mugging so hard for his exam I told him... "mmm, ok... I shall see whether the GV apps is working or not" and guess what, he's lucky! I reserve two tickets for Due Date at 1o:40pm.

We head home for a short break before we went for our shower and my babyplus session and awwwww.... Hubby gave me a good massage before we head out for our movie.. Thanks love ^^

Kim Gary - Mothercare

Meet up with Aurora for dinner tonight together with hubby at Vivocity Kimgary. Walked over to harbour-front Mothercare to check out the cot offer as I received a email form Mothercare about their promotion on baby's cot but we did not manage to purchase the cot from them as it's pricey! Their cot doesn't comes with mattress, bedding set.

Wanted to purchase the following for our son but Aurora insist to buy it for our son instead, many thanks to her ^^ The mini-doggy on theleft is pull-able and it comes with music, I love this too as it's so nice and soft to hug... *lol*

Babyfair @ Expo

Hubby woke up at about 800am today and he tried to wake me up so that I can get myself ready and I made a fuss about it and he quickly pat me back to sleep... *whahahaha*

30 minutes later I willingly open my eyes and reached out to my babyplus and strap it to my tummy for an hour, that's is my daily routine... So, I returned to my dreamland again.

930am and I quickly head for shower, today's itinerary... Babyfair @ Expo then to AMK Hub.

Went to pick Angie up at her place and off we go to Expo~ We reached Expo at about 1100am and we settled down for our breakfast before we being our "shopping trip", Angie is here for the Travel & Wedding fair. Started to rain heavily halfway through our breakfast...

I'm pretty excited about this babyfair but was a tad disappointed as the fair was really small and end up we did not get the cot/playpen but bought the following;

Baby Cloth Diaper ~ Buy 6 get 1 free at $188 nett + free breast padding ...

We also bought washing powder for baby's clothing and lastly, we signed up with Stemcord for cordblood banking. Interesting, there are certain discount for certain Gyane..

Times flies and it's already 230pm and we are late for our parentcraft session which will being in 30 minutes time. Nevertheless, we managed to reached AMK Hub at 3:10pm but there's no class today?!! The door was locked! I can only call TMC tomorrow to check why and asked for a make-up lesson.

Texted Angie and asked if she wana join us at the food-court and she told me she's queuing Koi for me -_-", she also bought us some curry puff... She spent 30 minutes just to get the curry puff and milk tea for us, thanks alot girl ^^ I'm so tired already and hubby still asked if I want to go to kaki-bukit to view more baby's stuff and I surrender... I just want to go home and rest, I'm aching everywhere already >.<

Reached home at about 600pm, head for shower and started to nua on our bed. Hubby was telling me he knows that I'm happy today as I was "everywhere" during the baby fair... *lol*

It's Monday tomorrow *Sigh*

Day 207 @ 1.4kg (Week 30)

The weather today was scorching HOT!

So... Lynn = Bad Temper + Frustrated and who kena..? Obviously, the answer is Hubby Lim *lol*

We decided to head out early and the weather is totally unbearable... Wanted to head over to the library to get some books for Hubby's assignment but the parking queue was quite long and instead of waiting we went for car-wash instead and head straight to AMKhub and ... long queue just to get inside the carpark, that's weekend... Zzzz

Head straight to Spring at lvl 2 to get a pants for myself as there will be some light stretching today ... Believe it anot, I do not have any pants for my maternity wear *lol* The pants seriously, I find it freaking ex... 3/4 and it's already S$49.90, bought 2 more top with sleeves this time... The fats on my arms area are obscene now... Oh my....

Even there's air-conditioner in the mall but it's still so warm and I decided to purchase 1 basket siew mai and 1 glutinous rice and 1 almond long-gan with Ice... ^^ Went to shop around the mall for abit before the lesson begins and happen to pass by Black Hammer and they are having a 50% discount on some men's shoes and lucky hubby managed to buy a pair of leather shoes for S$30.00 and it's the last pair... He's so happy with it.. *lol*

4:15pm~ fifteen more minutes to the lesson. We slowly walked over to "The little Skool" and thinking that we can take a rest instead while waiting but Oops, nope... We have to wait outside until the class is over... We are pretty surprised that alot of couple participate the parent craft session, about 60 pax (Wife + Husband).

The lesson was pretty interesting and hubby did a great job for massage... Thanks to the nice massage he gave me every night despite his tired-ness due to his job, exams and assignment... He's really superb... I definitely can't handle those in such a tight-deadline.

A "little" message for my be~

Thank you for giving me the nice massage every night, talking to the baby, always there for me and giving me 101% attention whenever I need it, sending and picking me up from work everyday, checking my blanket in the middle of the night, putting down the toilet seat for me when ever I need to use the washroom, shower for me, tolerating my nonsense when I have my mood-swing *lol* .... So much more to mention... I love you baby ^^

The lesson ended at about 7pm and next stop, BBQ @ OneJevois, Hubby's dad's brother place, a house warming cum birthday celebration for those whose birthday falls in October. Today is also the first time that we have spoken so much with Jo, *lol*. The event ended at about 10:00pm, awwww... too short to really catch up with each other, hopefully the next gathering will come soon, maybe x'mas?

Sent Hubby's dad and daughter home before we drive home, tiring day... Reached home at about 12:10am... Shower and dried my hair and getting ready to sleep and to my horror, I saw freaking black thing near my alarm and what the fish, it's a damn bloody disgusting cockroach!!!! What the??? Since Mummy is still awake I went to her room and told her to catch the bloody disgusting cockroach for me, 1st time the cockroach run away but it's not so lucky the 2nd time... Mummy is so brave that she just used a tissue to catch the cockroach... Yucks, we hate cockroach! GROSS...

We seriously cant find any reason why there is cockroach in the room, there's no food in the room at all... Maybe too warm, the cockroach need some air-con? Hmmm...

Baby weigh 1.174kg now...

28 weeks and baby weighing at 1.174kg now, normal range but Mummy put on 4kg in 1 month!!

JW asked if I snack regularly? I told her no, I'm eating as per normal and my appetite dropped. Anyway, JW go ahead with the scan and baby is awake and doing some light stretching but couldn't really get a good shot of him today... After the scan, JW told me she believe that I'm not snacking as baby weight is normal and not over-weight... "if Mummy is snacking baby will be overweight but baby is not" *heh* JW pass a paper to us on what to pack for the hospital stay by 36 weeks and today we are booking our hospital room... We choose one-bedded as that's the only room that hubby is allowed to stay over with me... Not free tho, S$75 per day... See, this is how hospital earn money... 3D2N for a normal delivery and hopefully I can delivery naturally.

I'm heavier than Hubby now.... This is really soooooooo wrong.
