Monday, a non-working day ^^

Forgot to turn off my alarm today *argh* Resume back to my beauty sleep, of course... but woke up at about 9am+ to prepare almond Jelly... Went down to triple 8 for our late breakfast at about 11am++ and head over to NTUC after our breakfast to purchase longan and mix fruits, for my almond jelly and this time, specially for my Mum... :)

Tried making pandan cake but somehow, it take so long for the cake to be "cooked"... It's a failure anyway, shall try again soon... Went over to Mummy place for our late lunch and it's sooooo Yummy! What a sinful day today~ My pants gona bursting soon...Some already did *LOL*

Here's what Mummy cooked today, Simple but it was goodness!

Rested for abit and Mummy asked us to try some Mooncake, "new" design of mooncake? Played Hide-n-seek with Whisky, Hubby will grab Whisky and will not allow him to see which direction I go *hehe* Whisky always managed to find me and after finding me he will stick to me where-ever I go, guess he's afraid I went missing again? *lol*

Double Egg yolk Moon Cake... Interesting Shapes..

Went home at about 7pm+ and hubby dropped me at the roadside so that I can bring Whisky for a walk... Before that, on our way home... I saw a old man on the wheel-chair, pushing himself and I was thinking that was soooo tiring...Anyway, bought Whisky for a walk and saw the the old man resting on the busy road path... He's trying to cross himself over to the other side but I just saw him staying there, finding a chance to cross. it was so dangerous as if he really did bross himself over, his face will hit the floor first... I walked over to him and asked whether he needed help to get over to the other side and yes, he needed help :) Told him, he cannot do that in future, if he really need to cross over, use the zebra crossing... The old man was so skinny >.<...

Hubby went back home to bring down the cardboard to throw near the rubbish chute area, I waited for him at the lift and told him what happened and he asked whether have that old man eaten? Why the hell didn't I asked the old man? Suddenly remember that the old man was telling me he wanted to grab coffee thingy *OMG* Why the hell is my reaction so slow... Anyway, we went to triple 8 to purchase Kopi siew-dai and a mushroom bread for the old man... Raining, we did not have our umbrella with us, Hubby accompany me over and when we reached there, the uncle doesn't seem to remember me and his reaction is Who is this stranger? Bringing coffee for??? Told him that I pushed him up just now and he was way relax now, knowing that I'm not the bad guy? Saw the uncle wearing a diaper and he is really so OMG skinny... Passed him the coffee and bread and we left...I pray for a speedy recovery for the old man and may his children care show concern and care for him, amen.

Whisky was so tired after the hide-n-seek today as he was running here and there lots of time before he can finally found me *hehe* He's now sleeping in the living room giving me that tired look... Yeah, that's my dear Whisky boy... 2 more weeks left for Whisky with me (T-T)

Sigh, Have to work tomorrow and have a Company Dinner after work at East Coast, I will miss my hubby.. :(

20.09.2009~

Off we go, to Suntec at about 11.30am, parking was pretty full so we decided to park at Marina Square and walk over to Suntec... Quickly head over to Chan Brother and to our disappointment the fees was ridiculously expensive... Same goes to the Taxes, S$700.00 per pax! What's up next? Dynasty Travel, they have a 15days tours and itinerary looks good, but I do not have enough leave for 15 days... Anyway, quite pricey so the trip have to postpone... :(

Went for our dinner at the foodcourt and head over to Carrefour to see if we can get a mixing bowl here, we did but the queue was OMG long so... we left Carrefour *lol* Walked over to Marina Square wanted to catch a movie but somehow they doesn't have the show 9... Hubby took out his iphone to check out which cinema is showing and we book out tickets through his iphone, we will be catching 9 at cineleisure at 6.05pm~ Reached Cineleisure at about 5.30pm and went to collect our ticket at level six... I seriously hate the lift in Cineleisure *sigh*

Theatre 10 located at level 9 and our first time *lol* Didn't know so much had changed... Personal room for Wii, xbox, movie session, pool and LAN gaming. Movie theatre was quite small, can only hold 84 pax...

What is the movie 9 about?

he action-packed tale takes place in a world parallel to our own where a community of fully mobile rag dolls lives. Then, a mechanical beast attacks 2 rag dolls as they scavenge the ruins of their world. After witnessing the death of his mentor "5" (Reilly), "9" (Wood) must confront the terror. With the help of the conflicted but resilient community including "1" (Plummer) a domineering war veteran, "2" (Landau) an aged inventor, "6" (Glover) a visionary and artist, and "7" (Connelly) a brave warrior - "9" hope to destroy the creature and steal the talisman of trapped souls that it carries.

I would rate this movie 8 out of 10... Great animation ^^

Wanted to have our dinner but we are still pretty full and told Hubby to company to The Heeren a walk, been a very long time since we last been there and I guess this shopping mall doesn't look glory as before... We can see many stores are empty, there is even a signage informing creditor of the relevance contact person. Recession? You can probably "feel" it in The Heeren~

We had our dinner at Cineleisure before heading home~ It's a non-working day tomorrow! *yippeee*

Travel & Food fair @ Suntec

Despite hubby having a terrible backache he still insist to bring me to the travel fair @ Suntec as well as the food fair... Cooling and rainy day = heavy traffic = !@#$%&, took about 45 minutes drive to reached Suntec *arghh*

Head straight up to level 6 for the travel fair and as expected, it's not as crowded as NATAS fair... We was looking at Europe trip for about 12 days which will include Italy, Switzerland and Paris but to my disappointment the pricing was a little way too high, same goes to the taxes as well... I was wondering why this time Chan Brother wasn't in it... Anyway, head on to level 4 for the food fair and it was sooo crowded and of course, we stink all over .... *yucks* Somehow, duck meat is getting quite popular? Out of 5 stalls, I can see 4 stalls selling duck meat... -_-"

After our yummy food session we went up to level 6 for the travel fair again and we sat one corner to check out which one we are more interested ... We went in to check out the prices again and ended up we went home as the offers wasn't really fantastic... Head home at about 3pm and the traffic is bloody slow and I fell asleep in the car, poor hubby have to drive all the way home and watching me sleeping so soundly :P

Mummy called me at about 730pm and told me she's going CWP with daddy to get a new handphone, AGAIN... I have no idea why, my dad have to change handphone every now and then... worst still, his handphone never seem to last... *sigh* Hubby drove to CWP too for our dinner and on our way we stopped at the traffic light and I saw bus 903 passed by and saw Daddy n Mummy in it ^^ Timing is just right... *hehe* Call Mummy and asked whether they haven taken their dinner and she said not yet and so I told her we will queue up at Dian Xiao Er while waiting for her... 10 minutes later she called and saying daddy wanted to get the new mobile phone first... What's the hurry, why can't we have our dinner first? *sigh* Anyway, mum call again and said daddy doesn't want to have dinner and so I told the waitress to change it to 3 pax instead... Our food and soup have arrived and Mummy is still not here and so we waited and waited and waited and finally saw them and they went in to Ahjisan instead *fainted* lol... I went out to show them the way... and Daddy was here and he wanted dinner this time... -_-" Mum and Dad likes Dian Xiao Er food! Mummy likes their Duck meat and fishy...

After dinner hubby was still hungry as we only ordered for 3 pax and he din really eat much as he's afraid that I will not have enough to eat... Silly hubby right? *hehe* Mummy n Daddy head back first as we wanted to shop around in CWP to buy some ingredient for my cake making session ^^

We reached home at about 9.30pm and quickly head for shower as Channel five will be showing van helsing @ 10.00pm and we have prepared some "rubbish" (tibits) to go along with the show ^^ Was browsing thru the net while watching and saw from Chan Brother website that they are having a travelholic fair at Suntec Level 1 instead of level 4... What the... Hubby suggest we go back tomorrow...

Hubby back is still aching and he still suggesting to go catch a movie with me or where I wanted to go... I wish for a speedy recovery for him...

I love you baby, thank you for everything... Thank you for tolerating my nonsense and my stubborn temper... Thank you for putting me in your 1st priority... Thank you for spoiling me to the core *lol*... Thank you for offering massage every time I complained about aching... Thank you for the comfy back scrub...Thank you for shopping with me and giving me advice on which clothing style suits me more... Thank you for being by my side, Thank you for picking me from work everyday and trying your best to find reason to send me to work in the morning .... and many many others... <3>

Dorami Batabatafly from MacDonald...

Went to CWP for our dinner @ Dian Xiao Er and later on went to walk around the mall. Walked pass Macdonald and saw Dorami, I kind of like the colour and the design of it and jokingly tell hubby I wanted it and he immediately sure! So, we ordered a happy meal cheeseburger set and we are sooooo full...

Thanks baby <3

Dorami is the little sister of Doraemon. The only reason she is not blue is because she didn't have her ears bitten off by rats. She looks a lot like Doraemon, don't you think? Dorami has all the abilities that Doraemon has, including the fourth dimensional pocket. She is nice and not as grouchy as Doraemon. She does not live with Nobita and Doraemon. She lives with the original master of Doraemon in the 22nd century. She only appeared in situations that are uncontrollable by Doraemon.

Interesting toy, there's a string for me to pull and its wings will start flipping... the sound is kind of annoying :P
^^

:)

3 more days...

Each day is too short for -
All the thoughts we want to think,

Make the best out of this day.

Guess what is Whisky doing?

Stroll down for answer....

Whisky " Mummy, please help me... my purple ball is underneath the sofa.. My head is too huge for me to get in... *lol*

Comex - The icing Room @ JP

Hubby decided to head down to Comex to meet Clifford to pass him the HDD and to walk around Comex to see if there is any good deal for the show... Initially wanted to take train down but zzzz... Anyway, we parked at St's Andrew Cathedral and after we are done with the parking, a lady walked over and asked whether we can help by letting them to wash our car for S$30.00... They are raising funds for upgrading of My Saviour Church and so, we donated :)

Went to the Customer Service counter at St's Andrew to check out more info on baptism but the lady seem clueless. We then walked over to Suntec for the Comex show and to meet up with Clifford... They bought a casing for their iphone, 20% discount.. After discount it's S$32.00... Surprisingly, there are still plenty of rooms to walk at level 2, 3 and four... We didn't go any further, too lazy :P

We had porridge buffet at level one and it wrote S$9.80 nett so we quickly went in as I'm very hungry and I'm too lazy to walk to the food court... To my horror, the lady told me S$25.60 because it's weekend.... *argggghhh* The most expensive porridge buffet I had so far, not worth it!

Requested Hubby to drove me to Jurong Point as I wish I can design a cake for Carrot because it's her Birthday tomorrow! Thanks to hubby, he granted my wish... *hehe* We reached Jurong Point at about 5.18pm and I'm quite clueless about what to design on the cake. Decided to draw carrot on it but they doesn't have the colour Orange :( Turn out, the carrot is in yellow.... Zzz
Thanks to hubby, he contributed some ideas to me and drew some design on it too ^^ Hope Carrot like the cake, design with love and patience.... *lol*

Coming up next, design another cake for our own ^^ Since our 4th year anniversary is coming, might as well *hehe* This time, the design was faster as we are cleared what we wanted... Here are some picture taken by hubby ^^

Design by Hubby & Myself for our 4th years Anniversary ^^

Cake for Carrot ^^

It was already 8pm++ when we finished the whole thing... So tired, as we have to stand while designing the cake but still worth it... A little pricey I would said, 4" cake cost S$11.80... It comes in 6 and 8 inch as well... Different pricing of course.

Hubby and I deliver the cake to Carrot Mummy as she's not back home yet and to our surprise she asked about hubby gout... That's very sweet of her and guess what, hubby sensed that his gout is coming soon again... I'm gone feed him with lots of water again...

Eeeeee, It's Monday tomorrow... :(

Movie in the Park - Fort Canning Park

We set off from home at 5pm to Fort Canning Park for Class 95 Event, Movie in the Park. We reached Fort Canning Park at about 5.40pm and the traffic was disaster... No parking lots at all, wanted to park illegal but none! Zzzz... Hubby drove to another side and managed to find a illegal parking and tA-dAhhhh... Parking done and we spent about 30 minutes...Zzzz~

We bought our own sitting mat, banana cake and water~ It was packed with sixteen thousand of people... YES! Sixteen thousand, as per Class 95 Deejays... We can hardly find a decent place to sit, have to squeeze at the little stairs... Hubby bought some snacks from Fort Canning Park and it cost S$19.90 for the following... It's freaking expensive... :S

The event was from 6.00pm onwards and movie only started at 0730pm~ Oh my... It's really so hot but overall still a good experience and this is my 1st experience for Movie in the park :P Iron man was the 1st show but due to the painful-ness on my butt we left at about 9.00pm... (thanks to the hardy floor, the sitting mat doesn't really helps) Hubby was asking whether to head over to Cineleisure for a movie but the thought of the slow lift and their parking system I told hubby we should head home but ended up, hubby drove to Geylang for dim sum session... Thanks baby ^^

Coffee Table album by my PG

Finally, received the draft coffee table album from my photographer... I submitted the photo late to him and this result in the delay...

mmm, find it too simple and told hubby that I wanted to add in some love quote into the pages... Initially thought we can add in some cartoon my friend drew but .... Zzz

Any comments? Mmm....

Angie & KC ROM @ YumCha - 09.09.09

Took off today as it's Angie and KC big day today! We went to pick them up at about 11.15am but only manage to leave at about 1145am as they are still not ready...

Reached French Bridal at about 12.45pm and french bridal service is really CRAP... Nobody is up there to help or be around... Hubby have to be the "co-ordinator" for them, choosing the right coat size for KC.... Make up artist is crap as well, upon hearing Angie wanted to use her own ampoules her face changed immediately ... To my surprise, she charged additional S$30.00 for hairdo! OMG! To be honest, I seriously don't have a good impression of her... *bleah*
dim sum buffet session~ Event started at 2.30pm and everything went on smoothly^^ Angie was touched and tears started to roll down on her face.... Congrats girl!

Dim Sum @ Yumcha... Mmm, pretty yummy but we got very thirsty after the dim sum session >.<>

Here's the picture taken today~

You Decide

You are the person that has to decide; Whether you’ll do it or toss it aside.
You are the one who makes up your mind; Whether you’ll lead or linger behind.

Whether you’ll try for the goal that’s far; Or be contended to stay where you are.
Take it, or leave it. Here’s something to do; Just think it over. It’s all up to you!

What do you wish?
To be known as as shrink, known as a good person who’s willing to work,
Scorned for a loafer or praised by you boss, rich or poor, beggar or thief?
Eager or earnest or dull through the day, honest or crooked?

It’s you who must say!
You must decide in the face of the test
Whether you’ll shrink it or give it your best.

Building Bridges of Life

Once upon a time two brothers, who lived on adjoining farms, fell into conflict. It was the first serious rift in 40 years of farming side by side, sharing machinery, and trading labor and goods as needed without a conflict. Then the long collaboration fell apart. It began with a small misunderstanding and it grew into a major difference, and finally it exploded into an exchange of bitter words followed by weeks of silence.

One morning there was a knock on John’s door. He opened it to find a man with a carpenter’s tool box. “I’m looking for a few days’ work” he said. “Perhaps you would have a few small jobs here and there I could help with? Could I help you?” “Yes,” said the older brother. “I do have a job for you.”

“Look across the creek at that farm. That’s my neighbor; in fact, it’s my younger brother. Last week there was a meadow between us and he took his bulldozer to the river levee and now there is a creek between us. Well, he may have done this to spite me, but I’ll do him one better.”

“See that pile of lumber by the barn? I want you to build me a fence –an 8-foot fence — so I won’t need to see his place or his face anymore.” The carpenter said, “I think I understand the situation. Show me the nails and the post-hole digger and I’ll be able to do a job that pleases you.”

The older brother had to go to town, so he helped the carpenter get the materials ready and then he was off for the day. The carpenter worked hard all that day measuring, sawing, nailing. About sunset when the farmer returned, the carpenter had just finished his job.

The farmer’s eyes opened wide, his jaw dropped. There was no fence there at all. It was a bridge — a bridge stretching from one side of the creek to the other! A fine piece of work, handrails and all — and the neighbor, his younger brother, was coming toward them, his hand outstretched.

“You are quite a fellow to build this bridge after all I’ve said and done.” The two brothers stood at each end of the bridge, and then they met in the middle, taking each other’s hand.

They turned to see the carpenter hoist his toolbox onto his shoulder. “No, wait! Stay a few days. I’ve a lot of other projects for you,” said the older brother. “I’d love to stay on,” the carpenter said, but I have many more bridges to build.

PUB recreation centre with Uncle Jimmy...

Went to Sembawang for our teochew porridge brunch as hubby will be doing delivery to SSC~ Drove over to SSC and while we are coming out of the lift, a lady stop us... asking us why didn't we using the cargo lift? The lady told us to stop at the loading/unloading bay located at level which we wish we can too... Hubby explained to her that we are driving a personal car and the security doesn't allow us into the loading/unloading bay, which is true... The lady went... "ohhh, Sorry.. I just want to know what is the reason".

Anyway, hubby head for his delivery and it's my shopping ^^ Went into Esprit and saw a pretty nice cardigan and it's only S$19.90! If you are a Esprit fan, you should drop by SSC as it's way cheaper compared to other Esprit outlets in other shopping malls. Bought a dress and a cardigan ^^

Weather was scorching hot, melting already.... Head home and on the air-con immediately and of course with Whisky in our room~ Poor Whisky will have to be home alone again as Hubby and I will be going out to meet up with Uncle Jimmy, he just returned from Vietnam and hubby have not seen him for like about 4 years~

We went to PUB reaction centre as per recommended by Uncle Jimmy~ Food there was... mmm.... FAILED! :P
Nevertheless, I still enjoy it ;)

Pictures taken tonight~
Guess how old is Uncle Jimmy? ^^

Me ^^

Company 1st Event @ Traders!

Company Event finally over~ Been so busy with the preparation for a few weeks and I'm glad it went smoothly as this is my first time doing this kind of event... Thanks to Esther for coming over to help with the support for registration ^^

Buffet was yummy! What u pay is what you will get *lol* After adding in the service charge and tax it is about S$65 per pax... I'm so happy today, finally got to eat my favourite Mango Sago Pomelo and taken 2 bowl of it! I missed it during my wedding dinner last year... Hubby reached Traders at about 4.50pm and I called him up for the buffet session as well :P

Left over quite a big amount of food as I believe the guest was pretty shy to help themselves with the food~ Requested tupperware from the hotel staff and .... all of us went back with lots of food... *hehe* Event suppose to end at 530pm but it ended at 600pm instead and we are supposed to head over to TBP for our cousin gathering but the thought of there are lots of work to be done at home so we dropped the idea and head home instead...

Reached home at about 700pm and took Whisky out for a short walk before we start packing the cables and to deliver tomorrow... I'm so tired today~ *__*

Lastly, a BIG thank you to my hubby... He knows that I'm tired and he gave me a nice massage and sayang me before I head to bed to my lala land~ *hehe*

The secret of Happiness~

There once was a very wealthy and successful man. He had more money than he could ever spend and he was admired and looked up to by his community. Still, he knew that something was missing in his life. He wasn’t happy. All his life he had pursued happiness and strived for happiness but had never been able to find it.

Then one day he heard about a hidden temple in Nepal that had a special room that contained the secret to happiness. He immediately sold all that he owned and set out to find this hidden temple. After many years of searching and countless hardships he arrived there. He was weary and pennyless, but he knew that none of that mattered now that he had found the temple.

He asked a wise, smiling monk if he could enter the special room. The monk agreed and showed him the stairs leading to the room. He climbed them with legs shaking with anticipation and slowly opened the door. He stared into the room with sunlight streaming through the window and saw what he had come so far to find. There hanging on the wall was the secret of happiness. The man gazed at his reflection in the mirror and laughed.

It is time that we all realized that we are the secret to our own happiness. Happiness is a choice that we make within. God loves us and gives each one of us the ability to fill our lives with love, joy, peace, happiness, and oneness with Him. We need only choose to do so moment by moment and day by day.

It doesn’t matter what our outer circumstances are either, because the Kingdom of Heaven is within us. Don’t spend the rest of your life searching the world for happiness then.

Just look in the mirror and laugh. Just let the happiness flow from your heart, mind, and soul until it fills your life and the lives of all those around you.

Focus on your blessing...

Joan and Natty were two young mothers who lived across the street from each other. From their living room windows, each woman was able to observe the activities of the other woman’s family.

One day, Joan confessed that she’d been watching what went on in Natty’s front garden and that she envied her. I don’t know what you mean, Natty said with puzzled look on her face.

Well, I often see your husband out in the front mowing your lawn, and I wish my husband would do the same thing, Joan said. Your garden is beautiful!

Natty laughed and then made her confession. I have been doing the same thing, Joan, she said. I watch your husband in your front garden - and I have envied you! Joan shook her head with disbelied. What on earth do you mean She asked.

Natty replied, I see your husband playing ball with your toddler so nicely. How I wish Keith, my husband, would do the same thing! He never wants our boys in the way when he mows. Be honest Joan. Would you rather have your husband play with your son than have a well-manicured lawn?

I had not thought of that before, but your right Natty. I may have tall grass, but Eric, my husband is right about playing with little Johnny, Joan concluded.

Very often we are blind to our own blessings that are so obvious to others. Let us cultivate the habit of concentrating on our several blessings rather than brooding over what we perceive as curses.
